A Wedding Ring Like a Smiling Face with Their Preferences

The couple discovered ith through a web search.

They loved the homely atmosphere of the atelier and visited Ginza atelier.

Though it was their first time selecting rings at ith, after having many detailed discussions, they arrived at a design that was uniquely theirs.

Here is the story of their ring selection.

Common Points Discovered During the Fitting

The couple initially mentioned, "We don’t have a clear image of what kind of ring we want," but after trying on various samples, their preferences became clearer.

The common points they liked in the rings were:

・a rounded, comfortable shape

・a shape that makes the hand look slender

・a design with subtle movement, not too bold

It became clear that the "shape" was the most important aspect for them.

The ring that met all their preferences was "Hanatsubaki," a design inspired by the petals of a camellia flower. It has a gentle U-shape that looks like a smile.

Since they would wear the wedding rings every day, the soft fit and the slender look were key factors in their choice.

Additionally, they were concerned about the ring’s durability for long-term wear.

"Special Forging Method" used to create the ring was reassuring for its strength.

Change in Vision

Next, we discussed potential customizations.

Based on the small preferences discovered during the fittings, we carefully considered what kind of customizations could be made to "Hanatsubaki."

Initially, the lady thought she might not want a diamond, but as she reflected on it, she changed her mind and said, "Maybe a little sparkle would be nice!"

"Hanatsubaki" was originally designed with five diamonds.

Based on her preference, I suggested adding just one diamond, creating a more subtle sparkle, like a dewdrop glistening on a camellia petal.

The gentleman had said that a matte texture might suit him, but after discussing textures further, he said, "I prefer this design with a glossy shine! It’ll be fun to watch it gradually take on a matte look over time!"

Considering the natural aging of the rings, we made sure to maintain the classic feel of the wedding ring while finishing both rings in a mirror-polished surface, so they matched perfectly.

Wedding Ring Like a Smiling Face

By carefully exploring their preferences, we arrived at a wedding ring that was truly unique to them.

I will never forget the smiles on their faces when they received their rings.

I was so relieved and happy that they loved the diamond customization as well!

It was truly an honor to assist them in creating their wedding rings.

Over the years, I hope they enjoy the natural changes in their rings.

It would make me happy to see how their rings evolve through maintenance.

May their journey together, like the smiling "Hanatsubaki," be filled with joy and laughter!
