The year 2026 has begun.
This year as well, we will continue to build each day with anticipation for the many new encounters and rings yet to come.
Toward the end of last year, we gave a name to a newly developed ring.
All ith rings have names, and once a design is finalized and a sample is complete, that is when we begin thinking about what to call it.
I believe that rings have expressions of their own. The atmosphere and personality that emerge once a ring is finished are what we try to capture in its name. The moment the right name is found, the ring suddenly feels alive. That is one of the quiet joys of naming.
In many ways, it feels similar to naming a child. As more people begin to call that name, the existence it represents feels affirmed, as if a life is truly beginning.
On a personal note, I was blessed with my second child last year. Choosing a name was the very first gift for the baby. Even after deciding on one name from many possibilities, when it came time to submit the birth registration, I found myself wondering if it was truly the right choice.
Yet, each time we called the baby by name, wrote it down, or shared the story behind it with others, the name gradually settled in and became real. It began to feel right, familiar, and unmistakably theirs.
In the same way, the names of our rings blend with the stories of both their makers and the people who wear them, becoming firmly rooted as ith rings. Putting feelings into words brings a deeper sense of attachment.
The exact timing of its unveiling has not yet been decided, but this new ring has been given a gentle name filled with thoughts of a cherished partner to walk through life with, and hopes carried toward the future.
