From the moment they first met,
their closeness was evident in their beaming smiles.
Upon hearing their story,
they were a couple approaching their tenth wedding anniversary.
A truly coordinated look
The rings they chose at the time of their wedding were,
designs that prioritised each of their preferences.
"But now,
we want to wear rings that truly coordinate."
They told us so.
Together they held hands and discussed it at length,
often laughing heartily,
their timing and harmony guiding them to a matching pair of rings.
The matching rings they reached after ten years together.
and hearing that they were happy to wear matching rings,
made me very happy as well.
A design with a special feel
"We'd prefer something that doesn't resemble anyone else's."
"We want to wear it for years to come as we grow older together."
"We want a design that feels like us."
They shared many sentiments and chose it with care.
And the rings they chose are "Jumeeri"
Two rings that are connected like a ring puzzle and cannot come apart
interlock in a perfectly stable, snug form.
They hold each other dear, acknowledge one another, and move in step
and seem to reflect two people who have walked together for ten years.
A bespoke touch for the two of you
On the palm side, the carving pattern that the lady loved
was added in the engraving,
to imbue it with even more of their personality.
The laurel leaf, the motif of the "Erba" carving,
in ancient Greece and Rome it was known as the "Tree of Marriage",
and the sun god Apollo wore it as a symbol of enduring love
there are tales that he wore it as a symbol of enduring love.
Five leaves were set on each ring,
so that the two rings together would total ten leaves.
As a celebration of the 10th wedding anniversary, it became
a design with special meaning, indeed!
The time spent talking about rings together was so enjoyable,
as they grew to understand each other deeply, the smiles never faded,
they were so lovely and became an inspiration to me.
For the next twenty years and then thirty,
these rings on the hands of the well-matched couple,
continue to shine for many years to come.
