In Japan, a 25th wedding anniversary is known as the "Silver Wedding."
After many years spent together, the couple visited us
to commemorate this special milestone with a new ring.
Design Wishes
The couple had two specific wishes:
- The new ring must perfectly stack with their existing wedding band.
- The center diamond should be exactly 0.20 carats.
Characteristics of the shape
Their beloved wedding ring featured a rare left-leaning S-curve,
unlike the common right-leaning designs.
Finding a matching shape proved to be a challenge.
The Special Meaning Behind 0.20ct
Their wedding band already held a 0.05ct diamond.
By adding a 0.20ct diamond to the new ring:
0.05 + 0.20 = 0.25 → symbolizing 25 years together.
This meaningful connection added even more depth to their design.
Creating the Perfect Ring with Our Artisans
Though some designs had the right curve, none matched the carat size or feeling they sought.
After visiting many brands without success, they turned to us.
Working closely with our artisans, we decided to adjust the shape
by carefully modifying our “Mughetto” base design to match their original ring.
We also tailored the number of side diamonds to perfectly achieve a 0.20ct total.
The design, which prioritised simplicity and comfort,
was one that the husband was also pleased with.
Unexpected Connections
After finalising the design, the woman shared another serendipitous discovery:
The two rings together now feature 25 diamonds,
echoing their 25th anniversary.
The new ring’s 20 side diamonds also celebrated their child's 20th birthday that year.
Small miracles aligned, creating a ring full of personal meaning and connection.
