At the atelier, many customers come to us with various thoughts.
It’s our privilege as concierges to talk with them, and to see the rings we’ve made leave our hands and travel to theirs.
Every time I see the smiles and hear the messages of our customers, my admiration for rings grows a little bit stronger.
Today, I’d like to share the story of the ring I chose to gift myself.
ith Jewellery "Cammino"
For my birthday gift to myself, I decided to create a ring from the Cammino collection. It features a slim design, perfect for stacking, which is one of the collection's characteristics.
As a concierge, I often help our customers choose rings, advising them on their choices.
However, I’m actually quite indecisive and have a hard time choosing quickly.
Out of the ten different Cammino designs, each one is beautiful, and I found it difficult to choose just one.
I spent time looking at photos and trying on samples, but I couldn’t decide. The more I looked, the more I loved each design, and the more difficult it became to make a decision.
So, having had so many meaningful conversations with our customers, I decided to reflect on what they valued most when choosing their designs—the moment they found the one.
I thought about how I could apply that same approach to myself.
A Message to Myself: Choosing “Angolo”
This ring was to be a special birthday gift to myself, as it would be my last birthday before I get married.
It marks the last year I will use my maiden name.
I wanted this ring to hold deep meaning because of the timing.
The design I chose was "Angolo," which means "turning point."
A turning point connects one chapter of life to the next.
With this design, I wanted to remind myself to stay true to who I am while moving forward into new chapters in my life.
With the hope that from now on, I can strive not only for myself but also for those dear to me, I chose this ring as a symbol of that intention.
A ring is a piece of jewellery that I see most often, so I want it to shine brightly and inspire me to keep moving forward.
Currently, I am also in the process of creating our wedding rings, which will be completed soon.
I’m already looking forward to wearing my “Angolo” on my right hand and eventually stacking it with my wedding band on my left hand.
