As a concierge, I create one after another, each one adding to the memories of choosing rings with our customers.
Today, as we journey through the rooms of the Yokohama Motomachi Atelier,
I would like to share three memorable moments of helping couples find their perfect rings.
Striving to fulfill each couple’s “likes”
In the innermost room of the atelier, the lighting, reminiscent of a pineapple, leaves a strong impression.
I remember a couple who couldn’t quite agree on their "absolute favorite."
They agonized over two different rings.
Because it’s a ring to wear for a lifetime, I was truly grateful that they took the time to think about it so seriously.
Bringing their favorite flowers into the design
In the room dominated by a striking jewellery workbench, we came up with a design for an engagement ring with a sunflower motif.
The ring, named “Girasole,” was modeled after the bride’s favorite flower—sunflowers.
Some custom touches were added to ensure it complemented her hand
and to enhance the sunflower’s appearance.
When I asked, "Do you know the meaning behind the sunflower’s flower language?" and the bride smiled shyly and replied, "I do, but..."
The beautiful, love-filled meaning of the sunflower is a secret kept from her partner.
Three rings to unite the couple
Next, in the antique-style room filled with carefully chosen items, I met a couple with a unique story.
The groom suggested, "Since I didn’t give you an engagement ring, why not choose two rings from this design for everyday wear?"
With that, the bride selected two wedding rings.
One was a pair ring that matched the groom’s, and the other was a ring tailored solely to her personal taste.
I’ll never forget the bride’s radiant smile, wearing both rings.
Creating a special moment of memories
