January 22nd.
It was the day when this loving couple celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary.
Unfortunately, the gentleman lost his first wedding ring, and the lady’s ring no longer fit, so neither of them could wear them.
To mark their 40th wedding anniversary, they came to ith to create their second set of wedding bands.
A Design Full of Thoughtfulness
The couple's main desire was for the design to be clearly felt.
Among the details, they particularly liked the small decorative feature of milgrain.
Together, they decided on the base design of "Dolce," a round form with milgrain crossing over it.
"Dolce" means "sweet" and "gentle" in Italian.
Watching them select the ring together, gently supporting each other, felt like the embodiment of the meaning of the ring itself.
Ruby to Represent 40 Years of Love
Just as each anniversary has its own significance and name—such as paper for the first year and silver for the 25th.
The 40th anniversary is the Ruby Wedding.
To symbolize "passionate and deep love and trust," a ruby was set in the lady’s ring.
Feeling the Ring on Their Hands
When the couple received their second set of rings, they both looked so happy.
The lady, holding the ring, said, "I feel like I want to get my nails done too," to which the gentleman replied with a loving smile, "I knew you'd say that."
The rings shining on their hands now reflect the deep bond between the two of them.
May these rings continue to witness many more decades of their happiness together.
