We first met the two of them in the fall of 2024.
Visiting us all the way from Slovenia, you shared that you
both love Japan, and this was already your third trip here.
It was also the day they arrived in Japan,
They came to our studio right after a 15-hour flight.
I remember that they talked so cheerfully that I could not see their fatigue.
I remember that they were so cheerful that we could not see their tiredness,
I think they preferred a design with a unique surface finish that would go well with their existing rings, rather than a simple design.
What kind of surface finish and what kind of shape would be best for you?
We took our time and carefully tried on many rings to find the right one for the couple's wedding band.
The design that captured their hearts the most was "Tsuchime Aki".
Created by striking the surface of the ring with a chisel,
the "Tsuchime Aki" finish gives rise to a refined luster,
with delicate indentations that set it apart from a plain matte texture.
As a personal arrangement, they chose to apply the hammered finish only on the surface,
while leaving the sides in mirror polish—resulting in a design that changes expression depending on the angle of view.
The ring width, which greatly influences the overall impression of the piece, was carefully adjusted to match the size of their hands.
Six months after their first visit to our atelier, the couple contacted us to place an order,
We received a call from the couple saying that they would like to place an order.
After several email discussions and final confirmations regarding the creation of the ring, we began production.
We engraved the word "love" in Japanese on the inside of the ring.
The engraving is unique to the couple, who love Japan and have many memories of the country.
The completed rings were delivered to the couple's residence via international shipping.
We later received a wedding photo of the happy couple with their message.
The smiling faces of the couple, surrounded by their loved ones, were very impressive,
We were filled with joy to have witnessed such a special and irreplaceable moment across the sea,
I was filled with joy from the bottom of my heart, as well as a sense of relief that we were able to deliver the rings safely.
