As fate would have it, their first home together was located on the very street where their story had begun. Living on Rua de Paris felt like a poetic continuation of their journey, as though the street itself had become a silent witness to their love story.
When the couple approached us to create their fully bespoke wedding bands, they shared this heartwarming story. While discussing options for engravings, I showed them a selection of sample designs to spark inspiration. Midway through the discussion, she paused thoughtfully and said, "Since Rua de Paris is such a memorable place for us, can you try to incorporate the street into our engraving design?"
Inspired by her idea, we began to explore creative ways to honor this special location. Macau is known for its distinctive street signs, which are not only beautiful but also unique in their bilingual presentation. The street names are displayed in both Chinese and Portuguese, reflecting the city’s rich cultural heritage. This detail sparked an idea—what if we split the street sign into two parts and engraved each part on one of their wedding bands? When placed together, the rings would form a complete sign, symbolizing their unity.
She excitedly took to sketching the signs, translating their vision into a tangible concept.
