One cold winter's night.
Having spent the day visiting jewellers,
the couple looked a little weary.
In a warm space like the Ginza Atelier cafe, relief lit their faces.
A heart-fluttering, special design
The couple sought an engagement ring and a wedding ring.
The engagement ring was envisioned as a design that conveyed a sense of a special occasion and glamour.
They were drawn to a ring that felt glamourous not only in the diamonds but also in the band.
An engagement ring, though a single piece, is the testament to the couple's marriage.
It was important that the design delighted the woman, and that the man truly wished to give it from the heart.
From the three designs the woman favoured, they chose "Fiore" as the one the man hoped the woman would wear.
Both pieces take centre stage
With the engagement ring decided, the next step was to choose the wedding ring.
Originally they imagined wearing them stacked, but "Fiore" is a standalone ring with presence.
So, they decided not to wear them stacked, but to wear the engagement ring on the left hand and the wedding ring on the right hand.
They designed them to achieve a cohesive look when hands were placed together.
The design chosen by the woman was "Pianissimo", with three complete rounds of glamorous milgrain.
Although the shapes differ entirely from Fiore, the shared milgrain and yellow gold provided unity, creating a unique, one-of-a-kind combination.
Intuition matters, too
For the wedding ring, more important than matching was that each ring felt thrilling to wear.
They chose the rings in accordance with their own hearts, not worrying about matching.
The man exclaimed "That's cool!" when he saw the piece characterised by an edgy twist: "Mobius Due".
The facets created by the twist are enhanced by a matte finish and the woman's birthstone, blue topaz.
The side of the women's ring also bears a discreet matte finish, matching the man's.
Though they look different, they form a gentle pair in which each thinks of the other.
With so many options on offer, there are many moments of deliberation when ordering bespoke at ith.
Sometimes, it's not necessary to overthink; it is important to follow the heart's cadence.
Seeing the rings
After a two-month production period, the rings were finally handed to the couple.
Wearing the finished rings, they smiled with joy, repeatedly saying "So cute!" and "So lovely!"
The time spent choosing the rings. The wait for their completion. The times ahead when the couple would wear the rings together.
May all of these become irreplaceable memories.
Perhaps it has been a year since their marriage was registered? The atelier looks forward to hearing the memories engraved on the rings.
Wishing them lasting happiness.
