May, with its fine and warm days, has arrived, making one yearn for leisurely walks outside in the comfortably warm weather.
Interestingly, May marks a significant month for ith as it was the first time forged rings were introduced to our collection.
Since their debut in May 2021, a year has passed, and this occasion offers a moment to reflect upon the journey of our forged rings over this period.
"Return to the Beginning"
Among our collection, the most fundamental design is "Da capo," a term derived from music, meaning "return to the beginning."
This concept mirrors our wish for couples to always remember their initial feelings of love and to continue walking together in happiness.
The design aims to evoke the excitement felt at first sight, discovering new allure each time.
Incorporating Meticulous Attention into Simplicity
The cross-section of the ring is in a "Low-dome" shape, resembling a slightly flattened version of the traditional domed profile.
Although it has a rounded shape, the visible sides give it a clean and streamlined appearance.
The absence of edges ensures a smooth touch and a comfortable fit.
For women's rings, a single diamond is set using a "flush setting," highlighting its rounded elegance.
A manufacturing Method Focused on Strength
The forging process, as the name suggests, involves shaping a single metal rod into a ring form, then repeatedly hammering and carving it.
Repeated hammering removes air from inside, increasing the density and enhancing the strength.
It is said that, generally, the strength becomes about 2 to 4 times greater than that of the casting method (*).
The metal becomes tighter and gains a more robust feel, leading to a more refined impression.
(*Casting involves pouring molten metal into a mold to form the ring.)
