Rings infused with memories of sunflowers

Wanting to incorporate a sunflower motif, inspired by a memory from their dates, the couple travelled from Nagasaki to visit the Fukuoka Tenjin atelier.

Through two consultations at the atelier,
we had the pleasure of helping bring their thoughts and feelings into a ring made just for them.

In search of a sunflower expression that reflects them

At first, how to incorporate the sunflower design,

Should a yellow stone reminiscent of a sunflower be set?

or carve a leaf illustration, etc.

A variety of ideas were proposed.

However, as fittings progressed,

as it would be worn daily, not too distinctive,

they wanted to preserve the essence of a wedding ring.

This sentiment began to take root in them.

In the meantime, the man fell in love at first sight with

a delicate Millegrain finish, created by a craftsman using a tool blade

to layer one fine line after another.

As for ITH's original texture as well,
they felt a special kind of coolness unlike anything seen elsewhere.

On the other hand, they felt that, because they would wear them together, some matching points were important.

They were drawn to the sparkle of diamonds

based on "Piacere"

with the texture arranged in the same Millegrain finish as the men's.

Among the playful, random stone settings,

one stone was changed to the male's birthstone Amethyst,

making it a wedding ring imbued with a gentle sentiment toward their partner.

With the outside finished a little more simply,

the sunflower element can be enjoyed discreetly by the couple

inside.

Thinking of engraving a small illustration on a tiny facet of the ring,

the bride's hand-drawn illustration, with careful attention to the number of leaves and the fine details of the pattern to ensure readability.

Not completed with a single band,

by stacking the two rings,

a large sunflower emerges, creating a wonderful design.

The sunflower engagement ring that captured their hearts

When they first visited the atelier, they consulted only on the wedding rings, but

they sent a message later saying, "Actually, we’re becoming somewhat interested in an engagement ring."

On their next visit to the atelier, we had the opportunity to present sample rings again.

Among other options with an antique vibe, there were several rings they were considering,

and their favourite was, after all, the sunflower motif "Girasole".

The central diamond is surrounded by melee diamonds that look like petals, making a glamorous engagement ring.

To emphasise the sunflower at the centre, the band was kept sleek and simple without melee diamonds, and arranged to be slim and rounded to make stacking easy.

The feelings for one another embedded in the sunflower

The sunflower's meaning is

"You are the only one I look at"

The matching sunflower wedding rings and

the engagement ring, a gift from the groom to the bride,

carrying their mutual, unwavering devotion,

a ring perfectly suited to them has been completed.

On a winter day soon to be married,

they came in stylish outfits to show off their hands

to collect the completed rings.

They were very pleased with the finished rings, which were filled with the couple's many ideas,

and I felt happy as well.

The woman, who enjoys photography as a hobby, brought along her beloved camera,

and said with a smile that they would enjoy commemorative photos with the rings.

Also, next summer, when sunflowers are in bloom again, we would be delighted if the two of them would enjoy taking photos together with the rings.

We wish the couple lasting happiness from the bottom of our hearts!
