The couple visited "ith" in June, when the heat was gradually increasing.
They came to consult about creating a special ring to commemorate their 10th wedding anniversary. Specifically, they were looking for a ring for the wife that could be worn stacked with her current wedding ring.
It felt like a meaningful coincidence that they visited our Kichijoji Atelier right on June 4th, the atelier’s 10th anniversary.
A Curved Ring for Layering
The wife wished for a matte-textured ring that could be stacked with her wedding band.
With that in mind, I had her try on various rings.
The one she chose was the slender and delicate "Marcato," with a gentle S-curve that naturally complements her wedding band when worn together.
One of her favorite features was the slight gap created when the rings are stacked, giving a light feel.
A Customized Design Inspired by Their Anniversary
I had her try on several rings with matte finishes, and the texture that resonated with her was "Tsuchime Aki," with its fine hammering that exudes the warmth of handmade craftsmanship.
Since their wedding anniversary falls in November, which is also her birth month, "Tsuchime Aki" was inspired by the mackerel clouds floating in the autumn sky, was a perfect fit for the couple, who have so many important memories in the fall.
The original "Marcato" design comes with 9 diamonds, but we customized it to include 10 diamonds to mark their 10th anniversary.
Additionally, we set the birthstone of their child inside the ring.
The inside of the ring is filled with lively details that symbolize the strong bonds of the family.
The final design beautifully tells the story of their journey together since they were married.
A Ring Crafted Together Through Thoughtful Trial
After trying on many rings and gradually refining the design, the couple finally completed their unique "Marcato."
The wife kindly sent us a message, saying, "I've been wearing the ring every day," which made me, as a concierge, truly happy.
I sincerely hope that this new ring, celebrating their 10-year milestone, will gently watch over the happiness of the entire family for many years to come.
