A Japanese-carved wedding ring engraved with a "nose print" of a lovely family

Drawn to wedding rings with engraved patterns,
the couple stepped through the doors of our atelier.

They came with a clear vision in mind,
not only for the ring’s design itself,
but even for the engraving hidden on the inside.

As they shared their many thoughtful preferences,
we could truly feel the warmth of their feelings toward the ring,
making our time together a memorable and heartfelt consultation.

An engraving created through a joint effort by the couple and their dog

Just like human fingerprints, a dog's nose print

is the one and only 'mark' that never changes over a lifetime.

Taking a mould from the nose of the sleeping dog

and tracing the lines that appear on that mould to draw and create,

a one-of-a-kind nose-print illustration.

Such a precious nose-print illustration,

together with an illustration based on their initials

we have placed it inside the ring's interior.

The nose-print is deliberately inverted top-to-bottom,

to create a charming impression of three hearts lined up.

The wedding-date engraving is hand-engraved by the concierge, each one individually.

“Hand-engraved” engraving was also their preference.

handcrafting brings a gentle warmth with its inevitable wobble and texture.

The commitment to Japanese-style engraving in wedding rings

The "Anise" that attracted the couple,

the strength of Japanese engraving and its glamorous radiance

was a design that could be enjoyed to the full.

Even after trying on many engraved-pattern rings,

Anis remains the most captivating.

To ensure that the couple could thoroughly enjoy the engravings,

the ring width was thicker than in the collection,

3.2mm, 3.0mm.

and while enjoying the engravings,

the couple also valued the delicacy and elegance of wedding rings.

to achieve both,

the ring edge was given a milgrain finish.

On the bold and glamorous "Aniss",

a delicate and orderly impression is added.

From the side, too,

it presents a sleek, polished, and restrained impression.

Engraving patterns run deep,

there are different charms between "Western-style" and "Japanese-style" engravings.

Known as the "hair-engraving chisel,"

the tip of which is triangular, for "Anise."

In fact, this hair-engraving chisel

is similar to the sculpting knives used by students in art class.

Just as one carves into wood,

carefully and deliberately, the surface of the metal is carved into.

Radiating lines of carving unique to "Anise" extend outward.

The beautiful, sharp depressions with varying depths,

are precisely the charm of Japanese engraving captured in this design.

Delivery time

The long-awaited day of delivery has arrived.

The Shiba Inu, Donguri-kun, the owner of this adorable nose print,

could be met in a photograph,

and a very warm and heartwarming time was enjoyed.

May the rings illuminate their future together.

The concierge wishes them lasting happiness from the atelier.
