What inspired the creation of a ring to commemorate a fat wedding anniversary?
At ith, we have received orders for rings not only from newlyweds, but also from couples celebrating milestone anniversaries. We have created not only rings for husbands to give to their wives, such as a "sweet ten diamond" ring to commemorate their 10th wedding anniversary, but we have also created rings for pairs for couples to wear together.
In the case of older couples, the size of their fingers may have changed significantly, or one of them may have lost a ring and need a new ring.
Some couples also renew their rings to commemorate the beginning of their second life together, as a result of a change in stage of life, such as retirement from work.
In this issue, we would like to share with you the ring creations of couples who have reached a milestone, from their first anniversary to their 40th anniversary.
Rings that can be worn over wedding rings
A couple who celebrated their first wedding anniversary "in the blink of an eye. They visited our atelier in search of a ring that could be worn over their existing wedding rings.
The rings were engraved with their initials and 1st Anniversary on the inside. The design of the rings was chosen by the couple.
The woman's ring has an engraved pattern and diamonds for a sparkling finish.
The man chose a thicker width and a vintage-like texture. The simplicity of the design shows a glimpse of wild individuality.
The pink gold color blends well with the skin and gives a more natural impression than platinum. The two rings are sure to bring double the joy and pleasure.
Five-year wedding anniversary / Wooden wedding ceremony] Making rings in our atelier for the first time in five years.
The couple who entrusted us with the creation of their wedding rings in 2015 ordered new rings for their 5th wedding anniversary.
The design chosen is "Piuma," which features a feather-like carved design throughout the ring. The ring was chosen with the hope that it will bring happiness to the family that has grown with the birth of a child.
Another wish is engraved on the inside of the ring. The initials were engraved across the two rings.
The wish to "remain together as ever" is expressed in the letters that emerge when the two rings are aligned.
Having the rings made at our Kichijoji atelier after a long absence must have brought back fresh feelings from that time, along with nostalgia. We look forward to the healthy growth of your child!
10th wedding anniversary / tin wedding ceremony] The child's birthstone and initials were added to the ring.
The couple celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary and have two children. All four visited Sakae Atelier together.
The design of the ring is "Racoppia. The design of this ring, which means "husband and wife" in Italian, evokes the image of "two as one" through the unity of platinum and gold.
The couple arranged the normal design to make the ring wider. As the couple gets older, the thicker the ring will fit more comfortably in their hands.
The milled edge on the woman's ring is also called milgrain. The word "mill" means "thousand" and "grain" means a grain of grain. This motif is associated with fertility and wishes for longevity and eternal love.
Inside the ring, we engraved the initials of the whole family and added birthstones. The ring is now complete and will be a symbol of the happiness of the family as a whole.

I wanted to give my wife a ring as a token of my appreciation for her, and I found an anniversary ring on Blog with our child's birthstone inside, and I thought it was wonderful!
A man living in Chiba Prefecture told us this and contacted us online to discuss the creation of a ring.
The design that came up as a candidate was an eternity type ring with a series of melee diamonds. His preference for a flat design so that it would not get in the way of his housework is a testament to the life he has built over the past 10 years. The pink gold makes it softer and more to her liking.

This was the first time for them to choose a ring. What captured their hearts was the "Croccante" ring made by the forging method.
For the couple, who are shy about sparkling designs, the atmosphere created by the unevenness of the filigree pattern was comfortable.
Forging is a traditional manufacturing method in which craftsmen beat metal with hammers to increase its density and strength. The craftsman then hammers the metal to make it uneven and adds patterns with a file, creating a hard yet warm feeling of the human hand.
The narrow width of this design allows it to be worn together with a wedding band. The past and the future will nestle snugly together on the couple's fingers.
40th Wedding Anniversary / Ruby Wedding Ceremony: 40 Years of Gratitude in Rubies
The rings that the couple, who have been together for a long time, were newly designed with a sparkling Japanese carved pattern.
Due to work commitments, they have not had the opportunity to wear rings for a long time and have lost their original wedding rings over the past 39 years. They said they would be able to wear rings from now on, and so the commemorative ring production began.
The 40th wedding anniversary is called a "ruby wedding," so they decided to have rubies on the ring. Ruby's stone language is "pure love" and "passion. It is sure to deepen the love between two very good friends.
The engraved "Stola" was chosen by the couple with an emphasis on wearing it together. The design is suitable for both men and women.
The engravings "40th" and "TNX" are proof of the couple's long journey together.

When a marriage reaches 40 years, it is called a ruby wedding.
