ith's sole Fukuoka Tenjin Atelier in Kyushu.
There are many guests who travel from outside the prefecture.
A couple residing in Miyazaki Prefecture,
also travelled from afar to the Fukuoka Tenjin Atelier.
It was not easy for the two to visit the Atelier casually.
In addition to trying on on the day, and following consultations by message afterward,
we had the honour of assisting with their wedding-ring selection.
First Try-On at the Atelier
The initial visit coincided with a summer trip, travelling by car to Fukuoka.
They had just begun their search for rings in preparation for November’s wedding,
and visited ith as the first stop in their ring search.
As this was their first time trying on rings,
the curved shapes that had caught their interest,
including pieces with an antique feel,
were tried on to compare.
The essence of a wedding ring, comfort in wear, and originality...
what they valued most in a ring,
they thoughtfully considered it from many angles.
Afterward, the couple had further plans to choose rings in Miyazaki as well,
and, in the Atelier, deliberated until they were satisfied with their choice,
with two pairing options chosen as candidates.
Careful Consideration at Home
At ith, to allow clients to take their time considering rings at home as well,
a dedicated client My Page is provided.
On the My Page,
through messages with the concierge in charge,
consultations on ring selection can be arranged.
The two returned to Miyazaki to visit other ring shops,
and later got back in touch again.
To help visualise even when the rings were not in their possession,
photos that could provide reference for adjustments,
were viewed together as we developed their design.
What they settled on was a love-at-first-sight wedding ring
As consultations continued, the two entrusted the making to us, and it was crafted using the forging method "Retikoro".
The 'Retikoro' is characterised by a sparkling, radiant surface finish.
Produced through repeated steps using the Western carving technique,
this is a wedding ring that bears ith's artisans’ handwork.
"We fell in love with both the dedication to craftsmanship and the design," the woman told us.
The bride's ring in bright platinum, and the groom's in white gold with a touch of understated character.
The blue topaz birthstone for November, marking their wedding date, shines beautifully against the radiant Western carving texture.
To ensure the texture could be enjoyed fully, both rings have the same 3.0mm width.
The finished wedding rings, crafted with meticulous attention to detail, for the two of them.
Back to the Atelier, the long-awaited unveiling of the rings
In autumn, as the season moved on from summer and their wedding date drew near,
the rings were handed to them directly at the Atelier.
They were delighted with the finished rings,
and above all, it was a joy to see them again after such a long time,
which filled me with happiness!
After registry, when maintenance is needed,
they would also stop by the Kansai Atelier during their travels.
As they begin their married life together,
the time spent at ith's Atelier would become cherished memories,
which would bring happiness.
Someday in Fukuoka again,
we look forward to meeting them again in Fukuoka.
We sincerely wish them lasting happiness.
