The couple who visited ith had one clear request: “We’d like to have our portraits engraved inside the rings!”
They had two main wishes: a design that “no one else has” but also one that would “stand the test of time.” And after much consideration, their perfect rings were created.
Returning to a Simple Shape After Much Deliberation
The couple chose "Alloro."
It was the ring that initially introduced them to ith, and they loved the beautiful engraving that showcases the craftsman’s skill.
However, they wondered whether it would be a waste to keep such intricate engraving on the side of the ring, leading them to consider other options.
ith offers a wide collection of engraved designs, but wedding bands are meant to be worn every day, whether at work, in formal settings, or during special occasions.
Ultimately, the couple agreed, “Simplicity works best for any occasion,” and they settled on the "Alloro."
To keep it from being overly simple, they added a large millegrain around the centre of the ring, giving the design a unique touch.
A Personalised Side Design
While the front of the ring remains simple, they poured their creativity into the side.
In the standard collection, engraving is only added to the one side. However, they chose to extend the engraving to both sides of the ring.
The groom’s ring also features a diamond, allowing him to rotate the ring to change its appearance depending on his mood.
The Biggest Personal Touch, Hidden Inside
The original request for portraits was met by engraving their faces on the inside of the rings.
The two rings, when placed together, complete the illustration – "Shifra engraving" became the couple’s unique and secret detail.
On either side of the illustration, they engraved each other's names and birthstones, placing their partner’s name on their own ring.
This design truly reflects the love and connection they share, making these wedding rings one of a kind.
Delivery
After a long journey, the rings were finally completed.
Once they tried them on, they fit beautifully on their fingers.
I was so pleased to see how much joy the couple found in looking at the rings, turning them over, and admiring them from different angles in the mirror.
It was an honour for me, as a concierge, to be part of this special process, helping them craft such meaningful rings.
