Marquise Cut

The marquise cut has a shape similar to a small boat or rugby ball, with pointed ends.

Compared to other cut styles, it has a larger surface area for the same carat (weight), making it appear larger than its actual carat.
The ideal length-to-width ratio is generally 2:1. As the cut is optimized from the rough stone, there is individual variation in shape.

Its sharp, elongated shape can make the fingers appear slimmer and longer when set vertically. The marquise cut is suitable for a wide range of ring designs, from sophisticated and simple to antique styles.
