Milgrain edging and Japanese carving, a hand-crafted wedding ring

Earlier, at the Fukuoka Tenjin Atelier,

the couple whom the concierge had helped with their proposal.

Subsequently, they decided to marry,

and, following the engagement ring, they entrusted the making of the wedding rings to us.

This time, we are delighted to share the story of rings crafted with their heartfelt wishes.

The episode of choosing the engagement ring is here

The engagement ring, crafted as a surprise to connect the couple

Handcrafted design

As the engagement ring was a surprise gift,

it was their first time choosing rings together.

In the atelier, they chatted warmly,

and tried on many sample rings with evident joy,

I remember it as being very heart-warming and joyful.

What they both loved was,

the craftsman's handiwork and originality

in decorative designs.

The woman who loves pretty things adored the milgrain design.

The delicate, tiny beads are called 'milgrain',

these carry meaning,

and it is an auspicious decoration bearing wishes for eternity and longevity.

Usually milgrain runs in a line,

but this time, the grains were carved randomly in a droplet-like pattern, which was the focus.

The metal chosen was pink gold,

conveying a sense of playfulness and charm,

which made it the perfect ring for her.

On the other hand, the groom appreciated a design that conveyed strength and a distinctive impression.

A triangular geometric pattern reminiscent of Yosegi inlay,

and with the same milgrain running around the top and bottom,

he fell in love at first sight with "Parquet".

The triangular carved patterns, arranged with regularity,

are engraved using a traditional Japanese technique known as wa-bori.

A skilled artisan adjusts each shape size carefully, carving them to fit the ring.

That cannot be replicated by machine laser engraving,

the hand-crafted radiance and warmth are unique to this ring.

The couple's emblem, shining on their hands

Two months after their marriage was registered,

they finally laid eyes on the completed wedding rings.

The rings glittered brilliantly on their hands, and

they said, "It really was the right decision to have this ring made,"

they smiled, clearly very happy.

The combination with the engagement ring was also beautiful.

Almost a year has passed since delivery,

as the couple continued to share their lives,

it would be wonderful if the rings have settled on their hands.

Like the uninterrupted milgrain,

may many blessings and happiness continue to come to the couple.
