The couple visited the Ginza Atelier on a whim.
They mentioned they were interested in rings with unique designs.
They also expressed some concern about designing the rings themselves, thinking it might be difficult. However, through careful consultation at the atelier, they arrived at the design that they felt was the best for them!
Let’s take a look at the rings chosen by this couple.
Interest in Detailed Handwork
First, we reviewed many samples and discussed the couple’s preferences.
I still remember their expressions as they eagerly compared the rings.
They were particularly drawn to the "milgrain" decoration, a technique involving small bead-like details.
They appreciated the subtle sparkle it added.
The couple showed great interest in the craftsmanship involved, and they enjoyed exploring the engraving bench in the atelier.
”Milgrain” is a decoration where each bead is meticulously applied by hand. By explaining the process and showing them the fine details through a magnifying glass, their appreciation for the craftsmanship grew.
To make the milgrain look even more beautiful, they chose the “Arpeggio.”
This design features a stepped edge, giving the ring a sleek appearance.
The gentleman chose a simple platinum, while the lady selected yellow gold to complement her usual accessories.
The rings were finished with a mirror polish, resulting in a matching design that retained the classic elegance of wedding rings.
Memories of Designing Together
The design process, which was thorough and collaborative, led to the creation of rings that the couple truly felt were the best.
I remember feeling excited about delivering these rings to them, and it remains a cherished memory.
After delivery, the gentleman sent a message saying,
“The time spent deciding on the design was very meaningful and enjoyable!”
and “I’m happy to see my wife’s delighted face!”
There is no greater joy for a concierge than hearing such feedback.
I am deeply honored and the experience of choosing the rings with the couple remains a wonderful memory for me!
Although some time has passed since the delivery, how are you finding the rings?
Have you been taking them out to various places?
These matching rings, filled with memories from the atelier, will become even more cherished as you wear them together over the years.
I look forward to the day when we can meet again!
