The Perfect Wedding Rings to Mark a Promise That Lasts Forever

This couple first came to know ith through the bride’s younger sister,

who had previously created her own ring with us.

Inspired by this connection, they visited our atelier together.

To mark their wedding date, they chose a meaningful pair of rings that embody their wish:

“May our life together continue in health and happiness, forever.”

Discovering Shared Values Through Design

At first, it seemed the couple had different preferences when it came to rings.

Even at other shops, they had trouble finding matching designs.

However, in talking through their ideas before trying anything on, one shared value stood out:

they both wanted something soft and gentle in appearance when worn.

In the end, without needing to compromise or force a match,

they both naturally gravitated toward "Loto" —an unexpected moment of harmony.

The "Loto" ring features a soft, rounded form with a distinctive matte finish—random and organic in texture. This understated, gentle style perfectly complemented their hands and their personalities.

They were especially drawn to its warm, calming presence, unlike any other rings they had seen.

The Meaning Behind the Millegrain Detail

At the center of their chosen Loto design lies a row of delicate milgrain.

Milgrain, from the French words “mille” (a thousand) and “grain” (seed),

represents “a thousand grains” and is a traditional technique often used in antique jewellery

to symbolise eternity, abundance, and longevity.

At ith, each grain is carefully and individually hand-applied by artisans,

showcasing a high level of craftsmanship.

Depending on the design, different engraving tools are selected to match the grain size,

adjusting the detail to perfectly complement the ring.

The result is a refined, tactile decoration that carries both artistry and heartfelt meaning.

The Ring That Perfectly Matches Their Wedding Day

The couple registered their marriage on August 8th.

The number 8, when turned sideways, becomes the symbol ∞ — representing infinity.

For that reason, the day is often called “the day of eternity” in Japan.

When we explained the symbolism behind the millegrain on the Loto rings,

they smiled and said it made the rings feel even more personal—perfect for them.

It’s been some time since your rings were delivered—

We hope every day since has brought joy and comfort, and that your shared journey continues to blossom with happiness.

If ever you need maintenance or care for your rings, we will be waiting for you at the atelier with open arms.

I wish you two happy days together forever.
